How to obtain your personnel file - HPI

Advice and reference info from members. (Updated August 2, 2017.)  Contact the HPAA volunteers: info@hpalumni.org

(If HPE, member instructions on how to obtain your personnel file: HPE Personnel File )

Most of the current personnel record information can be found in Workday, accessible via the HPI Portal.

Older records were scanned and reside in a system called OFIS -- Optical File Imaging System.

Here is the path for an HPI employee to find their OFIS personnel records: (HPI digital badge or email-and-password required.)

1. Go to the Daily Inc home page.

2. Search for OFIS.

3. Click on the first listing for OFIS.

4. Click on the "OFIS - Launch" button.

When entering your employee number, be sure and include any leading zeros.

This will bring up a list of documents that were originally paper but have been scanned. For employees who have been part of the original HP, there can be quite a few documents here.
(For example, an employee of 35 years found 52 documents, including their original offer-of-employment letter.)

If trouble accessing, contact your manager with the above path information. Each manager has access to the personnel records of their direct reports.
