Spam Whitelist

If you use an anti-spam system – such as the Safe Senders List in Outlook, SpamGuard in Yahoo Mail, Safe Mailing Lists in Hotmail, the filters in Gmail, or a standalone anti-spam software package – you should include our major email addresses.

Otherwise, many things can go wrong. For example, your request to join an optional HPAlumni forum or list will fail because you won't get Yahoo's automatic message asking you to confirm your request. And the job opportunity emails, HP Alumni News issues, and forum messages will either not reach you reliably or be lost in your spam folder.

In many cases, you can whitelist an entire email domain.

Just add these entries to your list:

hpalumni.org

linkedin.com

yahoogroups.com

If your whitelist won't let you authorize complete email domains...

Here are the specific email addresses to copy-and-paste into your address book or contacts list:

hp_alumni@yahoogroups.com

hp_alumni_association@yahoogroups.com
hp_alumni_association-owner@yahoogroups.com

hp_alumni_benefits@yahoogroups.com

hp_alumni_career@yahoogroups.com

hp_alumni_jobs@yahoogroups.com

hp_alumni_remembrance@yahoogroups.com
hp_alumni_techtalk@yahoogroups.com
hp_alumni_transition@yahoogroups.com

If you use the same email address for other yahoo groups, you will need to similarly whitelist all of them to prevent yahoo from blocking messages to you from our yahoo groups.

If you can whitelist entire domains as mentioned at the top of this page it will make this much simpler for you.
