Yahoo Groups to Google Groups move.

In late 2020, we had to move our forums from Yahoo Groups to Google Groups. The Google Groups system didn't allow us to add everybody. We posted notices to each of our lists with instructions. Just send a new application to join with your current email address. A Gmail account is not required.

Sorry we lost you! Verizon, which bought Yahoo, shut down the Yahoo Groups system. We set up new forums using the Google Groups system. To avoid misuse, Google Groups does not allow mass addition of members. It appears that some members didn't receive the notices we posted several times on our Yahoo groups -- perhaps due to anti-spam mechanisms at their email provider or in their email configuration. Welcome back!

The Yahoo Groups system, which we used for the HPAA email lists and online discussion forums, was shut down in late 2020.

We have moved to the Google Groups system. In the same way that a Yahoo Mail account was not required for Yahoo Groups, a Gmail account is not required for Google Groups.

As before, each group has a separate email subscription list, which is indicated in the email subject lines in square brackets -- i.e. [HPAA Benefits].

We are keeping the same lists and groups -- News, Benefits, Finance and TechTalk. As before, all content is moderated by HPAA volunteers.

You are able to join our Google groups with any email address -- regardless of the email address you used for our previous Yahoo groups.

To move to our new Google Groups, just apply to join the HPAA. No charge, thanks to HPAA's Supporting Members. (If you are not sure whether you were a member in the past, it is easiest for our volunteer team to simply add you as a new member.)
