If you use an anti-spam system – such as the Safe Senders List in Outlook, SpamGuard in Yahoo Mail, Safe Mailing Lists in Outlook.com, the filters in Gmail, or a standalone anti-spam software package – you should include our major email addresses.
Otherwise, many things can go wrong. For example, your request to join an optional HPAA forum or list will fail – because you won't get Yahoo's automatic message asking you to confirm your request. And the job opportunity emails, HP Alumni News emails, and forum messages will either not reach you reliably or be lost in your Spam, Junk, or Updates folder or tab.
In many cases, you can include an entire email domain in your allowed list.
Just add these entries to your list:
hpalumni.org
linkedin.com
googlegroups.com
If your Allowed List won't let you authorize complete email domains...
Here are the specific email
addresses to copy-and-paste into your address book or contacts list:
hpalumni-news@googlegroups.com
hpalumni-benefits@googlegroups.com
hpalumni-finance@googlegroups.com
If you use the same email address for other Google Groups, you will need
to similarly add all of them to your Allowed List -- to prevent yahoo from blocking
messages to you from our Google Groups.
If you can include entire domains in your
Allowed List –
as mentioned at the top of this page
– it will make this much simpler for you.
