Letter received by a former employee who left HPInc between
December 12, 2025, and March 3, 2026...
Important Notice: 2026 US Enhanced Early Retirement Program
HP recently announced the 2026 US Enhanced Early Retirement
Program (the 2026 US EER Program) for eligible employees
projected to be age 55 or older with at least 10 years of
eligible HP service as of March 31, 2026. The 2026 US EER
Program is a voluntary program that provides financial
benefits, special health benefit continuation, and other
features for employees who apply and are accepted for
retirement.
Because you might have been eligible for the 2026 US EER
Program but left HP between December 12, 2025, and March 3,
2026 (the program announcement date), you may qualify for
2026 US EER Program benefits. No action is required at this
time, but please read this notice carefully to understand
what benefits may be available. You will be notified by the
end of April whether you have met the final eligibility
requirements and what actions you will need to take in order
to receive any available benefits.
• 2026 US EER Program overview: The enclosed Summary Plan
Description summarizes key provisions of the 2026 US EER
Program including eligibility and available benefits.
Although you have been identified as meeting the initial
eligibility requirements based on your age and the HP
service you would have earned through March 31, 2026, you'll
see that acceptance is not guaranteed. Depending on total
applications and program costs, HP may increase the 10-year
minimum service requirement after the end of the 2026 US EER
Program application period, and only employees who meet the
final service requirement will receive benefits. Your years
of eligible HP service are shown at the top of this page,
calculated as if you had continued to work until March 31,
2026.
• Automatic application: As a former employee who left HP
between December 12, 2025, and March 3, 2026, you will not
need to apply for the 2026 US EER Program, and instead you
will automatically be deemed to have applied. Final
acceptance will depend on your eligible HP service compared
to the final service requirement determined by HP after the
close of the application period. You will be notified by the
end of April whether you meet the final eligibility
requirements and qualify for benefits under the 2026 US EER
Program. Please note if you recently left HP under a
Workforce Reduction (WFR) program, your automatic
application will be revoked if you are rehired by HP during
your 60-day preferential rehire period.
• 2026 US EER Program Waiver/Release: In order to receive
benefits if you're accepted under the 2026 US EER Program,
you will be required to return an executed, unmodified copy
of the 2026 US EER Program Waiver and General Release
Agreement that will be provided to you after your acceptance
is confirmed. You will need to submit your executed,
unmodified Agreement to US HR Global Services no later than
45 days after receiving it. If you terminated employment
under an HP workforce reduction program or by mutual
separation, the requirement to execute the 2026 US EER
Program Waiver and General Release Agreement will be in
addition to any required WFR Program waiver and release or
mutual separation agreement you were previously asked to
complete.
HP is pleased to be able to offer you the opportunity to
receive the enhanced benefits of the 2026 US EER Program,
and we will be in touch by the end of April to confirm
whether you qualify. In the meantime,
if you have questions about this notice, please submit an HR
question to this email address:
myhrsupport@hp.com.
Sincerely,
US HR Global Services

Notes:
The key document for a US employee retirement or health plan
is the legal Summary Plan Description (SPD). It includes plan details and an address at the employer for appeals. The current SPD
takes precedence over any other written, online, or verbal
information you may have been given -- but is still subject to
change. The employer's plan administrator is required by law to
provide the SPD upon request. How to obtain and decode:

Even if you have a
paper copy, it is handy to use Adobe Reader's search feature
to find specific words if you have a searchable document.
If you don't see
"edit" along the top edge when you open a pdf file, move your
cursor around the screen until a dark capsule-shaped bar
appears.
The bar has a floppy icon, a printer icon, a minus sign, a plus
sign, and a triangular spiderweb pdf icon. Click on the
triangular icon to the right and a vertical menu will appear on
the left. Click the faint gray binoculars logo in the left menu
to reach the excellent search feature.
