Discounts on HP products. Available on almost everything -- including business products -- for those officially classified as Retirees of HP or HPE. Member advice:  Retiree Discounts on HP Products

Discounts on non-HP products and services. Back when HP was much smaller, there were some discounts that were informally leveraged from corporate contracts.

By 2006, this had been replaced by Beneplace -- an advertising company that promotes identical discounts to employees and retirees of thousands of companies -- including HP and HPE -- using web pages and emails with the employer's name and logo. Unrelated to the employer's corporate purchasing. How to use Beneplace discounts: Beneplace Discounts

The free HP Inc "Passport Corporate Discount Card" now includes most of the restaurants on the popular, long-standing $79/year "Passport Dining" program. Details: Passport Discount Card  (No report of a similar program for HPE retirees.)

Retiree gold badge. HP and HPE. Now primarily symbolic. May be useful for discounts at local businesses near major HP sites. https://www.hpalumni.org/badge

See's Candies. Discounts on boxed candy with employee or retiree badge at certain large stores. Go to https://chocolateshops.sees.com and click the "Fundraising Experts" button to find the "Volume Savings" stores.

Monterey Bay Aquarium. HP discount no longer available, but badge or ID reportedly can be used to get into VIP line. https://www.hpalumni.org/badge

Discount tickets, including Disney World and Disneyland. No longer available at HP/HPE sites. Check Beneplace -- and be sure to also check the "Specials" tab on your HP Inc or HPE Beneplace page. As with all discounts, be sure to check your other affiliations. Beneplace Discounts  Disney World -- "Mission: Space" lounge. Access with HP Gold Badge no longer available. (Compaq signed sponsorship deal in 2000. Grand opening in 2003 with HP CEO. HP sponsorship ended in 2015.)

Wireless service.  Reassigning your company-paid cell phone number -- and possibly keeping the rate. The major wireless vendors appear to have shut down retiree discounts for most companies and organizations. Advice: Wireless Service Discounts

Car rental using an old badge, business card, or code carries major risks. The car rental industry has been clamping down on corporate discount leakage -- for all companies. "We know of multiple instances where folks ended up being charged the walk-up rate when they couldn't produce the documentation required and it was painful."

Furthermore, if something goes badly wrong -- such as an accident -- your former employer and their insurance company will not be able to help, since they were not a party to the rental transaction. Any insurance coverage included with the corporate discount is invalid. Car rental companies can void the entire contract -- including supplemental liability, accident insurance, and LDW.
