This page shows each event as HP acquired Compaq, EDS, etc. – and
spawned Agilent, Keysight,
Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP Inc, DXC Technology, Micro Focus,
Perspecta...
Each of them is a completely separate company.
Stock.
Depending on when and how you acquired stock – and due to the sequence of spinoffs and acquisitions – you may now have shares of HPInc, HPE, DXC, Keysight, and/or Agilent – in different accounts – and may not have received cash payouts for Micro Focus and Perspecta. You may have had stock in a predecessor company.
Transactions were often tracked and reported differently by brokerages, plan administrators, and transfer agents – or not at all. Only you – not the company, plan
administrators, transfer agents, brokerages, or the IRS – can reconstruct your full employee stock history.
Shares, payouts, or dividends may have been turned over to the state as "unclaimed property." Find it all – and verify or estimate your current cost basis:
