Tip: Lots packed into an Enrollment Guide -- especially in the last pages. Go through your Enrollment Guide very carefully -- and mark it up. The last pages cover important limitations.

HP Inc   Enroll Oct 16 -- Nov 3, 2023.

"You must make corrections by December 15, 2023, at 6 p.m. Pacific Time (8 p.m. Central Time). After that date, you won’t be able to make changes for 2024 unless you experience a qualified status change and call the HP Inc Benefits Center within 60 days."

If you decline HP/HPE medical coverage: Depending on your situation, you can lose the ability to re-enroll in HP/HPE coverage -- and your surviving dependents will not be eligible for HP/HPE coverage. Refer to your Enrollment Guide -- especially the last pages: https://www.hpalumni.org/EnrollmentGuides.htm

There are two HP Retiree Medical programs:

- "HP Retiree Medical Program." (For most recent retirees.)

- "Pre-2003 HP Retiree Medical Program or Former Digital Program."  (For earlier retirees. "2003" refers to the year when HP implemented the program, not necessarily your year of retirement. Details: https://www.hpalumni.org/Pre2003 )

You need to carefully study several documents:

1. Annual Enrollment Coverage Statement.
The personalized cover letter mailed with the printed Enrollment Guide.
Not available on myhpbenefits.com due to outsourcer system limitations.
Lists any HP group plans available to you, with prices. Covers other important issues.

2. 2024 Retiree Benefits Enrollment Guide

 - HP Retiree Medical Program. (For most recent retirees.) (Ice cream cones.) Our copy: https://www.hpalumni.org/AE24-HPI-EG-Post2003.pdf
   or
- Pre-2003 HP Retiree Medical Program or Former Digital Program  (Yellow skirt.) Our copy: https://www.hpalumni.org/AE24-HPI-EG-Pre2003.pdf

Mailed; downloadable from both myhpbenefits.com and HP Continuum*.
Discusses why group plan costs are going up -- and why you should explore alternatives for lower costs and more choices.
Don't ignore the critical re-enrollment restrictions on the last page.
Even if you have a paper copy, download the pdf file and use Adobe Reader's search feature to find specific words or phrases (Ctrl-F, F3, or Command-F.)

3. What's changing for 2024?
These documents are only available on the "HP Continuum" * site. Our copies: https://www.hpalumni.org/AE24-HPI-WC-Post2003.pdf  or https://www.hpalumni.org/AE24-HPI-WC-Pre2003.pdf
More detail and last-minute updates.

4. Medical Coverage Summaries. Details of the features, covered costs, and limitations for each current HP group plan. Not available online. To have the Pre-65 and/or Post-65 version sent by mail, go to https://www.myhpbenefits.com -- select "Health & Insurance" then "Request Materials." (It will also include plans that are not available to you due to your region or situation.)
