info@hpalumni.org (For HPInc and HPE U.S.
pension and 401(k) benefits, go to
https://www.hpalumni.org/RetirementPlans ) For 2026, HPInc and HPE changed how retiree health coverage is provided. The necessary changes cannot be made automatically. https://www.hpalumni.org/enroll-tips-traps This year especially, for deadlines and details you need to study your Enrollment documents. Note: If you currently have a policy purchased with an HPInc subsidy from Alight, you did not receive an Enrollment Guide in the mail -- because you have already made the transition from group to individual Medicare coverage. We suggest you download and look at it anyhow. Important limitations, such as re-enrollment rules and dependent coverage, are covered in various places: footnotes, in the text, or in the last pages of an Enrollment Guide -- or in Confirmation Statements or other letters. Even if you have a paper copy, download the document file and use Adobe Reader's search feature to find specific words or phrases (Ctrl-F, F3, or Command-F.) Pre-2003* "For US retirees and covered family members participating in the Pre-2003 HP Retiree Medical Program or the former Digital Retiree Health Program" - 2026 Retiree Healthplan Enrollment Guide [Pre-2003 or DEC.] https://www.hpalumni.org/HP_2025_AE26_Legacy_Retiree_Guide.pdf September 2025. "For US retirees and covered family members participating in the HP Retiree Medical Program" - 2026 Retiree Healthplan Enrollment Guide [not-Pre-2003 or DEC.] https://www.hpalumni.org/HP_2025_AE26_RetireeGuide_RETHP.pdf September 2025. There are two HP retirement medical programs -- the "Pre-2003 HP Retiree Medical Program" and the current "HP Retiree Medical Program." Note: "Pre-2003" refers to the year when HP implemented the program, not your retirement year. HP: "May apply if you retired from HP before 2003, or if you were with HP on December 31, 2002, and retired at a later date with eligibility for the program (this typically meant retiring at age 55 or later with at least 15 years of qualifying service, having at least 62 age-plus-service "points" as of December 31, 2005, and being within five years of qualifying as of June 30, 2007). This program generally does not apply if you joined HP through the Compaq or EDS acquisitions." Details: https://www.hpalumni.org/Pre2003. Confusing -- because the photo is randomly selected each time you
visit.] If you have a change, contact your Healthcare Benefits Center ASAP -- or contact the insurance sales agency that you purchased from, such as Alight Retiree Health Solutions. "They couldn't do the surgery because his insurance had been terminated. It took a very long three-way phone call with the Benefits Center and [the insurance company] to get his new coverage entered into the system." Future retirees: The most recent Healthplan Enrollment documents have some useful information for non-retirees -- for example those on COBRA.
