Membership is also open to heirs with HP-related stock and to those receiving company benefits -- spouses, partners, dependents, DEC and EDS retirees. No charge, thanks to HPAA's Supporting Members. The HPAA was founded in 2000. The Hewlett-Packard Alumni Association, Inc. is a California nonprofit mutual benefit corporation incorporated in 2010 under Section 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code. (EIN 273186972; CA 3325058.)

The IRS classifies the HPAA as a Social Club for mutual benefit, therefore not tax deductible.
